It is believed in the United States that the possibility to cooperate in scientific research and developments and in joint exercises in the sphere of missile defence may be reflected in one of the documents of the Russian-American summit which will be signed by Presidents George Bush and Vladimir Putin. A RIA Novosti correspondent quotes a high-ranking spokesman for the Bush administration telling reporters about it. According to him, the two countries are discussing this possibility. The White House spokesman also said that the possibility of using future "new systems" jointly with other countries was also being discussed.
