The first preliminary results of decoding the black boxes show that the automatic crash warning systems issued a signal on a dangerous Tu 154-Boeing 757 coming closer together "one minute before the crash". This was said on Monday by the German flight accident agency in Braunschweig.
In about 15 seconds, or actually 45 seconds before the crash, the Boeing warning system issued to the pilot a descent recommendation and the Tu-154 system that on elevation. In one second, or 44 second before the crash, the Russian jetliner's crew got a "verbal instruction" from the air traffic controller on land to go down and take flight echelon 350. Fourteen seconds later an additional instruction from the earth followed, confirming the first instruction, said the German agency.
