US President George Bush has promised to resolve problems related to Pyongyang's nuclear programme peacefully. Seoul reports say the US President said this in a phone conversation with South Korean President No Mu-hyon. The 20-minute conversation between the two leaders took place on Friday.
President Bush expressed readiness to assist the South Korean government in settling the North Korean issue peacefully, the South Korean Yonhap news agency reported.
Seoul fears that after the war in Iraq the US may strike on North Korea.
The remarks from the Pope came as "a very strong step towards degradation," "given the rather massive nature of homosexuality" among the Catholic clergy.
