US President George Bush says he does not know if Saddam Hussein has survived a US attack at the presidential bunker in Baghdad. Bush said as much live at a joint press conference with Tony Blair in Belfast.
I don't know if he has survived or not, Bush said. The only thing I know is that he is losing power, the US president stressed.
Bush said that Saddam Hussein would leave. He said he did not know if Hussein had already left yesterday but he was sure he would leave and stressed that the Iraqi people should know it because they [the Americans] were staying.
After he [Hussein] leaves, we will stay until they [the Iraqis] are ready to have their own government, the White House head stressed.
I hear much talk about us intending to impose a leader; forget it, he said. From the very first day we have claimed that the Iraqis are quite capable of governing their own country and it will be so, Bush stressed.
After it turned out that Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov included the Fonbet betting company in the list of backbone enterprises that can count on state support, everyone started talking about these bookmakers.
