A strong earthquake jolted northwestern Pakistan early Tuesday, the scene of a devastating quake two months ago. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake was a magnitude 6.7 and was centered in the Hindu Kush region of northeastern Afghanistan.
Salim Khan, an official at the Peshawar &to=http://english.pravda.ru/accidents/21/97/385/14287_quake.html' target=_blank>earthquake center, estimated the quake "must be" about magnitude 6.5. It struck shortly before 3 a.m. local time.
