Carrie Underwood to return home

"American Idol" Carrie Underwood will appear at the Country Fever Music Festival in his native town Pryor, Oklahoma. "I have been to so many places, and seen so many things, but you don't know how it feels to be back home," the 23-year-old country singer told the crowd Thursday.

Wearing knee-high black boots, short black shorts and an off-the-shoulder striped top, Underwood opened with "Young and Beautiful," a peppy number about celebrating life while you're young and pretty enough to enjoy it.

She also performed her hits "Jesus, Take the Wheel" and "Don't Forget to Remember Me," and included Guns N' Roses' "Sweet Child O' Mine" midway through her set.

Underwood, a native of Checotah, was the winner of last year's "American Idol", reports the AP.
