Romanian director Cristian Mungiu got the Cannes Film Festival's top prize with "4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days," a portrait of an illegal abortion in Communist-era Romania.
The film beat out 21 other movies in competition at the Riviera festival for the Palme d'Or.
