McCain did deliver an article to Pravda but he ignored invitations by President Putin to discuss politics. At the Valdai International Discussion Club, Putin invited McCain to the meeting to further enlighten the ignorant senator of the realities of Russia and the world. Of course he never showed. His response was having his Al Qaeda friends try and bomb the Russian embassy in Syria. "Assad must go" has been the US prime directive and no reasoning will detour their goal. At the Valdai meeting it was refreshing to hear intelligent reasoning prevail as Putin gave his speech and answered questions from the media that lowered the reputation of McCain and the West. The US keeps sinking in the eyes of the world as Russia becomes the hero.
"Russia's Diversity for the Modern World" was the topic discussed at the meeting of the Valdai International Club. Over 200 Russian and foreign experts attended. Putin is lifting up a nation shattered by Communism and is directing it to the future against a violent and anti-Christian world. He said,
"We have left behind Soviet ideology, and there will be no return... There is virtually no Russian family that completely escaped the troubles of the past century."
Many in the West prefer to think the Soviet Union still exists. They are all like McCain ignoring reality. It is true that no Russian has escaped being touched by the tragedies of the Russian Civil War, the Great Patriotic War (WWII) and the Red terror known as Communism. The chaos of the 90's struck another blow against unity. Putin and many Russians like him prefer to unify the country. He said, "We must be proud of our history, and we have things to be proud of." People are more willing to honor the veterans who saved Russia from Hitler and the fascists.
Avoiding the mistakes of the West
It can be done by standing on the moral foundation that gave Russia greatness. The third Rome is Moscow and it still stands. What are these mistakes to be avoided? "We can see how many of the Euro-Atlantic countries are actually rejecting their roots, including the Christian values that constitute the basis of Western civilization. They are denying moral principles and all traditional identities: national, cultural, religious and even sexual. They are implementing policies that equate large families with same-sex partnerships, belief in God with the belief in Satan...people are seriously talking about registering political parties whose aim is to promote pedophilia. "
Over a thousand years ago Great St Prince Vladimir went in search of the true God and he found Him. Other religions are respected by the state as Putin said, but Christianity is part of Russia's roots. Russian leaders understand the need to stay on the course that St Vladimir laid out. President Putin said, "Without the values embedded in Christianity and other world religions, without the standards of morality that have taken shape over millennia, people will inevitably lose their human dignity. We consider it natural and right to defend these values. One must respect every minority's right to be different, but the rights of the majority must not be put into question." It was another statement that left conservatives in America agreeing while their liberal counterparts keep laughing at America's collapse.
Putin attacked the idea of a New World Order and that each country has the right to choose its government without interference. " we see attempts to somehow revive a standardized model of a unipolar world and to blur the institutions of international law and national sovereignty. .. In a historical sense this amounts to a rejection of one's own identity, of the God-given diversity of the world. Russia believes that international law, not the right of the strong, must apply. And we believe that every country, every nation is not exceptional, but unique, original and benefits from equal rights, including the right to independently choose their own development path."
A path denied by the US foreign policy and people like McCain who scream for Asaad to go for democracy's sake. Someone at the Q & A session said, "There is no democracy in Saudi Arabia either, but for some reason no one is bombing it." Has anyone in the US asked Obama or McCain why they do not bomb Saudi Arabia?
Obama would have had his way in Syria and more blood would be on his hands with the war reaching Iran. Piotr Dutkiewicz told Putin, "Indeed, you are personally responsible for stopping the expansion and deepening of the Syrian conflict, which is an enormous achievement." Dimitri Simes noted that Obama's plans were thwarted by public opposition. "And suddenly I saw on American television - and I'm sure my American colleagues did too - how at these meetings of congressional representatives, senators and voters, including Senator John McCain, the voters shouted: "How dare you?! What are you doing?!" And the more the Administration and President Obama talked about needing to attack Syria, the greater was the public opposition."
Putin had waited after Obama's speech before giving his article to the New York Times. He gave credit to the NYT for living up to their agreement and publishing his article exactly the way he had wrote it. President Vladimir Putin recognizes the conservative voices in America and those who simply say, "enough!" when it comes to war. He has known for many years the western media's effort in demonizing and warping the truth about Russia. "I just wanted to convey our position, my own position, to the people who will be forming their opinions on this issue, and to clarify it. Because unfortunately, the media often present various problems very one-sidedly, or simply stay completely silent."
Caught in a vise
Is it over and will peace come to Syria and the Middle East? Is it all smoke being blown in America's eyes by Obama who is trying to avoid impeachment? Or is Obama scheming another way to cause another war? The American snakes can slither and hiss all they want to no avail. They are caught in a vise made by those who oppose Obama and Russia who guards Christianity. "Ye brood of vipers, who hath showed you to flee from the wrath to come?"
