Pavlyuchenko to go to Anzhi Makhachkala?. 46280.jpegTottenham Hotspur striker Roman Pavlyuchenko has not been in the starting line-up once this season and at the half-way mark, he is considering leaving the Premiership and going to the super-rich Russian Premier League side Anzhi Makhachkala, according to reports in the British Press.

The Daily Mirror quotes Oleg Artemov the agent of Russian striker, Roman Pavlyuchenko, who declared that until now, Roman has not considered returning to Russia. However, with the season now half over, the Russian star cannot get a place in the first team, being behind the duo preferred by team coach Harry Redknapp, Emmanuel Adebayor and Jermain Defoe.

The giant Russian Number 9 started his playing career in Dynamo Stavropol, where he scored one goal in 31 appearances (1998-1999), then from 2000 to 2002, he played for  Rotor Volgograd, where he scored 14 goals in 65 games, then from 2003-2008, at Spartak Moskva FC, 69 goals in 141 games. Since his transfer to London club Tottenham Hotspur FC, he has placed in 76 games and has scored 21 goals. For the Russian senior team, where he made his first senior appearance in 2003, he has appeared 45 times and scored 20 goals.

FC Anzhi Makhachkala finished last season in eleventh position in the Russian Premier League, scoring 29 goals in 30 matches. The club was taken over by investor Suleiman Kerimov in January 2011 who has signed up the Brazilian and team captain Roberto Carlos, fellow Brazilian Jucilei da Silva, Moroccan Mbark Boussoufa, Hungarian Balázs Dzsudzák, Cameroon star Samuel Eto'o and Russian midfield player Yuri Zhirkov, formerly of Chelsea FC.
