The UN has spoken out about real state of affairs in Ukraine. A report has been presented by the UN Development Programme Resident Representative in Ukraine, Neal Walker. According to him, 60% of Ukrainians live below the poverty line. Beside that, human rights are being constantly violated.
Such a data is revealed in the report which has been prepared by the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights. The country is presented as a territory of ethnic, racial, gender, social and religious offences against the person. Numerous violations of human rights are registered in the area of the so-called anti-terror operation, as well as antisemitism.
It is also pointed out that the cases of shooting in Maydan and burning down of oppositional activists in the Odessa Trade Unions House have not been investigated yet. There are also shocking figures of those killed and wounded in course of the conflict in the east of the country. All in all, since the spring of 2014 33,000 people have fallen victims to it, while 9,900 of them died.
